BROADCAST ENGINEERING ;-)
Before we all leave for NAB, two articles of note in the March 2006
issue of Broadcast Engineering:
Peter McGoldrick complains about stations where almost all the
programming was played back from VHS, cheep limited animation and the
quality of cell phone video. Yes, as engineers we’d like to only ‘send
the very best’. But as people who contribute to the bottom line, we
can’t forget that "It’s the content, stupid!" Whether it is
an hour long show on VHS or cell phone video of the
London Underground bombing – it’s the message and not the pipe that’s
important.
And for laughs, an editorial about what might happen if you combine your
multifunction A/V remote with the world’s most powerful X-10 controller.
And then there’s always "
